In taking this pledge you are personally committing to reducing sexual assault by asking for consent before engaging in sexual activities with another person and acknowledging that the individual has a right to change their mind and that should also be respected.

I pledge to acknowledge that sex without consent is sexual assault; therefore, I will obtain a verbal “yes” as consent, without pressure, intimidation or guilt, before I pursue sexual activity with someone.
